Stainless Steel 17-4 PH (As Built)

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)

An additive metal ideal for many applications including functional prototypes, small parts, individual products, spare parts, and any application requiring magnetic material that can be hardened. This is a cost effective DMLS offering and is good for general prototyping. SS17-4PH as-built is ~32 HRC (Hardness, Rockwell, C scale). SS17-4PH with H900 heat treatment (1-hour dwell at 900ºF in Argon atmosphere) is ~42 HRC.

Stainless Steel 316L (As Built)

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)

An additive metal ideal for many applications including consumer goods, food processing, chemical processing, marine, medical devices, and any application requiring a non-magnetic material. This is a lower cost DMLS offering and is good for general prototyping. SS316L as-built is ~85 HRB (Hardness, Rockwell, B scale), and solution annealing is not necessary since mechanicals are ideal according to ASTM A403.
